WARRIORS: War of The Clans

Silvergaze licks her kits softly before letting them fall asleep and she lies her head on her paws.

[WaterStar]

I sat down in my den, tense, constantly glancing around, expecting someone to jump on me. Yes, I was battle scarred. Mentally and physically.

[Rainfur]

I padded into the Shadowclan camp, head low, and sat down at the edge of the clearing to watch the daily activity.

Ravenpath walked past a warrior and accidentally bumped him, which caused the other one to snap and hiss at Ravenpath. He snarls in return before continuing to pad in the same direction.

Silvergaze wonders about WaterStar and then Windgaze walks up to her. "How are you feeling?" she asks, rather quietly.
"I'm doing alright, thank you," Silvergaze replies calmly.

[Rainfur]

I watched the small, wordless argument between the new Shadowclan cat and the other warrior, whose name I had forgotten.
He had joined from another clan, hadn't he?
I got up, and made my way silently over to him, keeping my head high now.

[WaterStar]

I couldn't take it anymore. I calmly, yet rigidly walked out of my den, and to the Medicine cat's den.

Ravenpath exits the camp and walks a ways before sitting beneath a tree and letting his head hang a little, his ears laid back. His mind was reeling with maniacal thoughts and it was hard for him to stay calm.

Windgaze looks up at him with questions written all over her face, but she asks the usual one, "What's wrong?"

[Rainfur]

I trailed Ravenpath, always following silently, until I stood before him, lightly silhouetted by the sun at by back.
He looked to be more than a little troubled, and I licked a paw and drew it over my ear before speaking.
"Hello." I said politely.

[WaterStar]

Very calmly, I replied."I cannot eat. I cannot sleep. I cannot so anything besides sit awake and hope something doesn't kill me."I said."Help."

Ravenpath looks up a little, slightly shocked that a cat would want to speak to him. "Hello," he replies, his voice rather raspy.

"It's just shock, but I'll give you some poppy seeds and another herb," she says before going to get them.

[Rainfur]

I sat down, trying to avoid eye contact since most didn't like my eyes.
"I couldn't help but notice that many of the clan seem to avoid you. I heard you came from another clan, but I've been away for awhile...what clan did you come from?" I ask, trying not to sound too nosy, but unable to hide my curiosity.

[WaterStar]

My muscles tensed, and I turned around, after hearing something moving towards the den. Then I saw that it was just an apprentice, playing with his other friends.

"RiverClan," Ravenpath says rather darkly.

"Easy, WaterStar," Windgaze mumbles before setting the herb and poppy seeds in front of him, "Just calm yourself. Maybe Silvergaze can help with that."

[Rainfur]

I tilted my head, curiosity still not sated. I was sure it showed on my face.
"Would you mind if I asked why you left?"

[WaterStar]

I nodded in thanks, and chewed on the poppy seeds, saving the herb, and I walked over to the nursery, and sat by Silvergaze, still rigid.

"Hmm... Basically speaking, the one I love chose another cat and had kits with him. Being as it may, the one she chose did not become one I could speak with without having at least some sort of bitterness behind our words. So I came here... To regain my thinking process and figure out which step to take next," he says calmly, glancing at her every now and then when he spoke.

Silvergaze sets her head on his pelt and looks up at him with worry filling her eyes.

[WaterStar]

I looked at her."It's. Just. Stress."I said, tensing up every time I heard something move.

[Rainfur]

I took a moment to process his words, thinking them over carefully before replying.
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that....It must be hard, though, dealing with that, then coming here. But I suppose anger is an easier emotion to manage, eh?" I asked, attempting a weak smile, my eyes flitting up to his for a moment.

"Try and rest," Silvergaze says softly.

Ravenpath smiles a little at her, appreciating her presence. "Thank you... F-For listening, I mean," he stutters, wrinkling his nose a little at how he spoke.

[WaterStar]

I slowly chewed the herb, and curled up next to Silvergaze.

[Rainfur]

My smile grew a little stronger, now that I knew he wasn't going to claw me or something for trying to be friendly.
"You're welcome. I'm not as mean as the others around here.." I trailed off, then, remembering I was still looking at him, glanced down again.

Silvergaze purrs lightly before setting her head back down and wrapping her tail around her kits.

"That's good to know," Ravenpath says, still looking at her with a smile.

[Rainfur]

I shrugged.
"Itleast they have a good reason to not like you. I was born in the clan, and even though they don't act like it, I can tell that many of them don't like being around me. It's my eyes, I guess."
I said the last part quickly, nervous, but willing to share a bit about myself now that I knew a little about him. I licked my chest fur, wanting to look up again but forcing myself to remain looking at the ground.

[WaterStar]

I jerked up, seeing ShadowStar's deathly face in my head.

"Why are you so unsettled about your eyes?" he asks cautiously.

Silvergaze flinched when he jerked and she sighs.
